Do not want windows live

That same ID — namely that same email address and password — can be used with all the Windows Live services including Windows Live Messenger. Looking at it a different way, a different email address implies a completely different and separate Windows Live ID and thus a completely separate Hotmail and Messenger account. If you want to use these services you must use Windows Live.

Not from Yahoo, not legally anyway… And certainly not reliable in any case. Please help. Going bonkers. I have 2 hotmail addresses, and I had it set up that the messages from one would be forwarded to the other. The first one has Windows Live. Can I just uninstall windows live and then reset the password??

I also do not want windows live messenger on my taskbar. Usually the only way i get it off the taskbar is to close it and it disappears. I don't want it to appear at all.

How do I do that? Become a Patron of Ask Leo! In fact, it might not even be present for many of you now. I expect Microsoft to completely discontinue the old MSN Hotmail interface, effectively forcing everyone to move to the new one. So while you can switch back, my recommendation is that you do not. My recommendation is that you take the time to become comfortable with the new interface, and perhaps send Microsoft feedback on the problems you encounter. But regardless of how you feel about it, it certainly appears to be the direction that Microsoft is taking Hotmail.

Please help me Mr Wizard. Thank you. I have heard of this happening, but I have not heard of any fix, or any cause. All I can say is that this is yet another reason that I so vehemently recommend people NOT use free email services like HotMail for things that are important. How can I get them back???

Only they would take me from my old emails, and not let me see them again. If it went away would there be another way i could get msn hotmail back. I cant read my E mails the script is so small how can I go back to the old hotmail cont like the new. Anyone have my answer on how to do so? So I totally expect that people will NOT be able to switch back. In doing so I have lost 2 years of contacts and folders.

I want to change my first and last name of my e-mail but it does not give me the account summary page whenever I try to reach it through options present in your inbox.
